Alfatek offers the options below for the disposal of your assets. In keeping with our philosophy of serving you the Customer, we are happy to discuss alternate arrangements.

Disposal Options

• Buy Out - This option has been tailored for the type of business with a smaller quantity of I.T. assets to dispose of. The consignee MUST provide a manifest detailing the items for disposal. Each item will be checked off against the manifest as part of the checking process. After the checking process is completed an agreed buy-out price will be issued to the consignee.

• Environmental - Plastics, metals, and Silicon are recyclable material. We do not export equipment that is considered e-waste; this type of equipment is disposed of environmentally and responsibly through our recycling business partners

• Full Service - Designed for those requiring help with the management of their I.T. disposal process. The end result is to provide a comprehensive asset listing back to the consignee along with the destruction of all data. These outcomes are provided through our technical services which are explained below.

  Technical services include:

  • Data Destruction of all Hard Disk Drives.
  • Delivering a Comprehensive Asset disposal listing.
  • Corporate Branding Removal.
  • Comprehensive item specifications report including the capture of asset & serial numbers where available.
  • All items will have a limited test and be deemed as ‘Working’, ‘Not Working’ or ‘Powers-up’. These terms are explained further in our price list.
  • Limited testing of all machines also include:
    • Computers & Servers – Processor speed, RAM, Hard disk Size, physical ports, extra expansion cards and storage devices are all recorded.
    • Monitors – Picture clarity check.
    • Printing Devices – Page Count, Self Test, Network connectivity, and any extra components tested for where available and recorded.
    • Notebooks - Processor speed, RAM, Hard disk Size, physical ports, extra expansion cards & storage external devices, Carry Bag and Power Supply are all recorded.
    • Fax Machines – Test page obtained where possible.
